Women's Swimming and Diving wins seventh consecutive NCAA championship
For the seventh year in a row and the ninth time in program history, the Emory Women's Swimming and Diving team took first place at the 2016 NCAA Division III National Championships.

Celebrating the University's selection as Georgia's host site for the First Folio, one of the world's most treasured books, Shakespeare at Emory begins next week with an opening lecture and innovative performances of "As You Like It."

ACHIEVEMENT
Emory medical students discover next steps in training at annual Match Day
Opening their Match Day envelopes in unison at noon on Friday, March 18, approximately 126 graduating medical students of the Emory University School of Medicine Class of 2016 erupted in shouts of delight and tears of happiness as they learned where they will begin their careers as doctors.

 

MILESTONE
Emory, Georgia Tech dedicate new Library Service Center
The state-of-the-art Library Service Center, created by Emory University and the Georgia Institute of Technology to house a shared collection amassing millions of volumes, formally opened Thursday after a joint dedication ceremony.

 

COMMUNITY
RespectCon to explore social justice, sexual assault prevention
Created by Emory students, RespectCon is expected to draw 150 attendees from 36 schools and organizations for two days of discussions aimed at "understanding sexual violence through a social justice lens." Registration closes Monday night.

 

ACTIVITIES
India Week features cultural, educational events
From a celebration of Holi, the festival of colors, to a visit from Nagesh Singh, Consul General of India in Atlanta, India Week includes a diverse slate of activities beginning March 28.

Max Zoberman: Leading Emory's Student Government Association
Max Zoberman chose Emory based on the strength of the political science department and the University's reputation for extracurricular engagement. Now a junior in Emory College, he recently won a landslide victory to become the next president of the Student Government Association. Find out his plans for his term.
